Acts – Christian Life
Dr. Jeffrey Clark
The Big Idea: Christian life happens in small groups that learn, love and do.
- Christian life happens in small groups that learn.
- Christian life happens in small groups that love.
- Christian life happens in small groups that do.
Quick Review: Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you?
My Story: What experience have you had with Christian family life? Has it been dysfunctional, absent, healthy or only in fits and starts?
- The context for this passage includes 3,000 baptized converts. With such an immediate and huge influx, how does Christ’s church go forward with Jesus’ mandate to reach out and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20)?
- This early Christian family learns doctrine in small groups. From what source do these new believers learn Christian doctrine? What do you say to those who assert they are no longer being fed?
- Early Christian family is marked by love that attends small group meetings, receives meals together and helps those with financial need. How is faithful giving a demonstration of love…toward fellow believers and our community?
- The early Christian family “does” by gathering in corporate worship and giving witness to Christian faith. Who adds to their number…and how? What service project(s) has your small group accomplished in the past months?
Taking It Home: Salvation is not disconnected from church membership, and church membership is vitally related to salvation. What is the relationship between these biblical concepts? Encourage someone to attend Aspen Ridge Church orientation for prospective membership at the next Bridge meeting (April 15).
We want to extend a special welcome to you, and we invite you to an informal reception immediately following our worship service. Pastor Jeff will meet you at the Welcome Center, where you can also receive a special gift when you turn in a Communication Card.

We will also celebration Communion this weekend and ask parents to determine the readiness of their children to participate.
PARENT/CHILD DEDICATION WEEKEND
We will host a parent/child dedication on April 21/22. Please contact the office before April 1 if you are interested in participating. This is a special way to publicly affirm your commitment before God and your church family to raise your child in the knowledge and admonition of the Lord.
